LETS SHUT DOWN PANJAB - PANJAB BANDH TODAY 3RD NOVEMBER 2009
Today marks the day when Panjab - Sikh Homeland will be totally shutdown to mark 25 years since the Sikh Genocde across India & Delhi in November 1984.
Under the aegis of the Khalsa Action Committee- a conglomerate of various religious and political organizations of Punjab, the Dal Khalsa has resolved to observe complete strike on Nov 3 to mark the 25th year of Nov 1984 anti-Sikh carnage.
The objective of the shutdown call is to register protest against the genocide engineered by Congress, and backed by the BJP,RSS and other radical Hindu Terrorist outfits to express anguish against the denial of justice to aggrieved Sikhs besides paying tributes to those who have been killed in a systematic and planned manner in the country’s capital that housed Parliament, Presidential Place and Foreign Missions.
Leaving aside essential and emergency services including medical services rest everything will remain closed.
There goes a saying that whenever injustice goes unpunished, crime is rewarded, the terrible beast of communalism is revived in more horrific ways. In order to give verdict against the politics of genocide let's shutdown Punjab on Nov 3.
We appeal to people of all religions, race and creed to join the Bandh and support it for the larger humanitarian cause of justice for those innocents who were killed in the communal carnage aimed at obliterating Sikhism and teaching a lesson to the Sikhs.
The Damdami Taksal, Akand Kirtani Jatha, DSGMC, Shiormani Akali Dal (Panch Pardani), Sikh Students Federation, Akal Federation, Chief Khalsa Deevan and many other Panthic groups have endorsed the call for Punjab Bandh.
Ludhiana (November 2, 2009): All Panthic organizations are united to observe complete Punjab Bandh on 3 November, 2009 to show the protest of Sikh Nation against November 1984 Genocide. Bhai Harcharanjit Singh Dhami told SikhSiyasat Network over phone that a meeting was held at Jalandhar yesterday which was attended by many representatives of Panthic organization and action plan to secure peaceful Punjab bandh has been chalked. ‘Punjab Bandh call given by Dal Khalsa and Khalsa Action committee is accepted as a common decision by whole Panth and all stand united on this matter’ he added. As per our reports yesterday’s meetings was attended by representatives of Dal Khalsa, Khalsa Action Committee, Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani), Sikh Students Federation, Sikh Youth Federation and Sikh Youth of Punjab. Bhai Harcharnjit Singh Dhami, Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Bhai Mohkam Singh, Kanwarpal Singh Bittu, Parmjit Singh Gazi, Sarabjeet Singh Ghumaan, Balwant Singh Gopala and Gurpreet Singh Mann were prominent among those attending the meeting held at Jalandhar yesterday.
Meanwhile there are reports that many other organizations have also extended their support for this cause. Chief Khalsa Diwan, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Peermohammad, Grewal, Mehta, and Bhoma groups of All India Sikh Students Federation, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, various factions of Damdami Taksal are prominent among those organizations whose support has already been reported by the Press.
It is strange that SGPC and Badal Dal have not issued any version regarding this cause.
On the other hand Indian agencies and a section of media is trying to create terror among people of Punjab. ‘Baseless stories regarding so-called terror attacks are published by a section of Indian print media to terrorize the people of Punjab as they are frustrated over overwhelming response given to Punjab bandh call by people of Punjab.’ said Parmjeet Singh Gazi, President of Sikh Students Federation in statement. ‘Media is trying to popularize baseless stories with reference to so-called ‘sources’ and secrete intelligence reports.’ he added. It is learnt that a Punjabi Newspaper named Jag Bani has published a report yesterday that IB (Intelligence Bureau) in one of its’ secret report sent to Home Ministry has feared a (so-called) terrorist attack on the eve of Punjab Bandh on November 3, 2009. SSF president asked that how the facts reported directly to Home ministry by India’s main secret intelligence agency are known to reporter of a local Punjabi newspaper? He said that it is a conspiracy hatched between media doing embedded journalism and Indian agencies to terrorize the people of Punjab.
