HOSHIARPUR: The Dal Khalsa took a serious note of reported remarks of Canadian MP Ujjal Dosanjh in which he tried to malign the image of Canadian Sikh youth in order to appease Indian authorities.

Party head H S Dhami, general secretary Dr Manjinder Singh and spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said, the tone and tenor of the Ujjal Dosanjh was similar to that of India’s MEA officials who during PM Dr Manmohan Singh’s visit to Canada and US publicly denounced Canadian Sikhs for enhancing Khalistani activities.

"By his uncalled and unfounded remarks made on Indian soil, Dosanjh has tried to appease Indian establishment to extract undue favours for him", they observed.

Canadian MP Sukhminder Singh Dhaliwal said that Dosanjh comments on Sikh millitancy were unfounded and baseless. "The Sikh youth in Canada is working towards building a golden future for Sikh community", he added.

Bhupinder Malhi of South Asian Review, coming down heavily on Dosanjh said that his reamrks would create division among Sikh community.
