Dera Choota Sauda Cultists Violently Attack Sikhs

RAMPAGING DERA CULTISTS ATTACK SIKHS, BURN VEHICLES IN SIRSA

SIRSA, HARYANA (KP) - Followers of the Sacha Sauda Cult attacked unarmed Sikhs in Sirsa, and seriously injured a Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) representative and his associates and continued the rampage by torching several Sikh owned cars and motorcycles.

A curfew was imposed by the authorities after the violent clash which seriously injured SGPC member Sant Gurmeet Singh Trilokiwala and others who were returning from a local Gurdwara after a meeting. Sant Trilokiwala was reported to be in critical condition and being treated at a local hospital.

Tensions have been simmering in Sirsa since November 19th when Jasvir Singh and several other Sikhs were attacked and injured by the dera cultists at a nearby town of Jiwan Nagar. Local Sikhs had called for a protest march over the attacks but cancelled it after assurance from authorities that action would be taken against the cultists guilty of the attacks.
PRE-PLANNED AMBUSH
After cancelling the protest, the Sikh community members had peacefully assembled at a nearby Gurdwara Sahib on Saturday, and were returning to their homes when they were viciously attacked by a mob of Dera cultists numbering into the thousands.

It is learned that the cultists had intentionally setup a ‘naam-charcha’ program in order to ambush the Sikhs returning from the Gurdwara Sahib. Dozens of Sikhs were injured in this second attack, and several vehicles and motorcycles belonging to the Sikhs were torched and destroyed by the rampaging cultists.

Upon hearing about the attack by the cultists, concerned Sikh community members from nearby areas attempted to assemble at site of the clash, but many were prevented from reaching the venue by the local authorities Fifteen paramilitary units have been called in by the district administration to control the situation, but mobs of “premi” cultists still remained on the streets ready for further confrontation with the Sikhs.

Clashes between the Sikhs and the cultists are now a routine occurrence in Haryana and southern Punjab, and the vigilante security force of Sauda cultist Gurmeet Ram Rahim continuously harass and attack Sikhs who happen to be on route during the passing of the cult leader’s motorcade.

In the past the local police authorities have turned a blind eye against such attacks, and have taken no action again the perpetrators or the dera head who is directly responsible for the cold blooded murders of several others Sikhs including Bhai Harmander Singh, Bhai Balkar Singh and Kanwaljit Singh Ji.

Police charges Jaswant Thekedar for theft on gurdwara premises

JASWANT THEKEDAR THE DISGRACED EX PRESIDENT OF MIRI PIRI GURDWARA - THE HINDUTVA INDIAN AGENT WHO GOT RE-MARRIED AROUND A HAVAN EARLIER THIS YEAR IS CHARGED WITH THEFT ON GURDWARA PREMISIS BY THE POLICE AS PER VIDEO & OTHER EVIDENCES

Jaswant Singh Thekedar, the controversial former president of Gurdwara Miri Piri, The Broadway, Southall, UK, has been charged by the police for committing theft. He will now be produced in the Ealing Magistrates Court on 30th November. The police confirmed this to S Sohan Singh Dhesi on 21.11.2012 because Thekedar has been charged following his complaint. He had been arrested after Akashradio.com published news and video of the incident, and  has now been charged after the investigation. This be noted that Thekedar had been caught on video, committing ‘theft’ in the room of Sardar Sohan Singh Dhesi, which is located on the gurdwara premises. S Sohan Singh, the registered owner of the property, had complained to the police, listing the stolen articles as: important documents regarding Miri Piri Gurdwara, Southall; Gurdwara Baba Sang Ji, Birmingham; old passport, bank documents, some cash and his personal valuables etc. He had also claimed that the theft was committed to remove all legal and documentary evidence that was needed in the impending court case.
However, Jaswant Singh Thekedar had claimed that he went in the room to rectify some gas leak that needed urgent attention. The video of the same can be seen on the akashradio website.
Gurdwara Miri Piri, Southall, has been in the news recently because of the management and property ownership dispute arisen amongst S Sohan Singh Dhesi, S Mohinder Singh Rathour and S. Jagjit Singh Bhogal (claimants) and Jaswant Singh Thekedar, his wife Amrik Kaur and his brother in law B.S. Mann (defendants). The case is pending in the High Court.
Earlier, B.S. Mann had been charged by police and was produced in the Isleworth Crown Court in one of the related cases, while the Thekedar’s accomplice (claimed to be a committee member) and seen in the theft video was arrested and released on bail. Both of them have been banned from coming to the gurdwara.
According to sources, Thekedar had resigned from the presidentship of the gurdwara management, and S Mohinder Singh Rathour has removed him from the trusteeship according to the gurdwara constitution with the veto vote of trustee nominee S Sukhwinder Singh. Despite all this, Thekedar was still running the gurdwara management.
On the other hand, Thekedar had claimed that the constitution according to which he has been ‘removed’ stopped existing since 2002 and there’s a new constitution that has come into force since 2010 according to which he is running the gurdwara.
The case is now scheduled to come up for hearing in the High Court of Honourable Mr Justice Hildyard on December 11, 2012, the outcome of which will decide who will run the gurdwara.

India: 93 years old Sikh sentenced for 10 years rigorous imprisonment under TADA

via Notorius Jatt:
- If any of you out there think India is some great democracy with equality for all regardless of religion, read below. My Dad's brother (Taya) is one of the 12 men who has been convicted of India's biggest bank robbery, 10 of the 12 men conv

icted had nothing to do with the robbery and have been convicted under a TADA (anti terrorism) court which is able to convict without th
e needing the same proof as a normal court.

The real bank robbers were from KCF (Khalistan Commando Force) most of whom are now dead from fake police encounters, 10 of the 12 elderly men convicted were Jathedar's of their villages and have been convicted of this offence for political reasons. One of the men convicted is 93 which would mean he would have been nearly 70 at the time of the robbery in 1987.

Hindustan, the nation of Hindus will always mistreat other religions for its own gain and power.

These men need to be released as they are NOT GUILTY. If you have any respect and love for the elders of our community spread this message and let the people know.

Ludhiana, Punjab (November 21, 2012): Dr. Assa Singh, aged 93, could barely walk without support of some other person. He stood on trial of a 1987 bank robbery case for more than 25 years. Police had accused him for handling money allegedly robbed by Sikh militants from a Ludhiana branch of Punjab National Bank on February 12, 1987.
On November 20, 2012 a designated TADA court convicted him under Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) for recovery of cash shown against him by the prosecution and sentenced him to undergo 10 years of imprisonment.
It is significant to note that TADA ceased to be operative since May 1995 as the Indian State did not dare to renew it because of massive opposition as this law was being widely misused.
Assa Singh (93) sentenced by TADA Court in 2012 to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment
Now even after 17 years after the expiry of TADA, Assa Singh along with 11 others is punished to a sentence that is considered too harsh for most of the convicts.
Assa Singh, owner of 30 acres of fertile land near Sham Chaurasi, District Hoshiarpur took part in numerous political agitations organized by Shiromani Akali Dal, the political party that represented the Sikhs in India after partition of Punjab in 1947. He was arrested more than six times for being a part of, as well as for organizing peaceful demonstrations, protests and agitations against the anti-Sikh policies of the Indian state.
In 1970, one of his sons went to Canada followed by another in 1977. With the income earned from 30 acres of land along with money sent by his sons he purchased 21 acres of land in 1980.
According to defense pleaded by Assa Singh, during the trial, it was the earning of farming as well as money sent by his sons from Canada, amounting to rupees two lacks that was seized by the police from their house in the first week of December 1987 along with Gold jewellery, sale deeds, passbooks and other documents.
Assa Singh was kept in illegal custody and was falsely implicated in Ludhiana Bank robbery case. He was charged with TADA for the alleged recovery of currency notes amounting to rupee One Lakh Fifty thousands. The prosecution case alleged that he was a part of conspiracy to rob the bank though there was nothing to prove the conspiracy.
He stood on trial for consecutive 25 years.
Few years back he was exempted from personal appearance in the court due to the fact that he was aged above 90 years and was suffering from old age health problems.
On November 17, 19, 20 in 2012 he was brought to Ludhiana for hearing the final order in this case by his family members.
On November 20, 2012 while all others charged in this case were standing in the court Bapu Assa Singh was sitting calmly on a chair meant only for the advocates, as he could not stand for too long.
When the Additional Sessions cum designated TADA judge Sunil Kumar Arora pronounced that Assa Singh along with others is convicted under Section 120-B (IPC) read with section 342, 395, 397 and 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC); u/s 412 IPC and u/sections 3 (2), 3 (3) and 4 (2) of TADA, all present got stunned. But the judge had more surprise.
After pronouncing his order holding all the accused persons guilty for all charges levelled by the prosecution Judge Sunil Kumar Arora left the court room temporarily. After about half an hour he returned and pronounced almost similar sentence for all those who were held guilty, including 93 years old Assa Singh and 83 years old Harbhajan Singh.
Assa Singh at the age of 93 is sentenced to undergo 7 years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 120-B (IPC) read with section 342, 395, 397 and 506 of Indian Penal Code (IPC); 5 years of rigorous imprisonment u/s 412 IPC, and 10 years rigorous imprisonment each under sections 3 (2), 3 (3) and 4 (2) of TADA. After pronouncement of the sentence judge left the court room.
Others convicted and sentenced in this case are Harjinder Singh (47), Daljit Singh Bittu (52), Gursharan Singh Gamma (57), Balwinder Singh (60), Saroop Singh (63) Gurjant Singh (70), Mohan Singh (71), Sewa Singh (72)Avtar Singh (75) and Harbhajan Singh (83).
After pronouncement of sentence finger prints of Assa Singh were taken and the police personnel helped him to wake out of the court and get into the jail guard bus waiting outside the court room.
According to defence lawyer and senior advocate of Punjab & Haryana High Court, Advo. Puran Singh Hundal, it’s a faulty and harsh decision. He said charge of TADA was not proved on file against any of the 12 persons who stood on trial. In the case of 9 persons charged for allegedly keeping the robbed money, there was nothing on file to prove the charge of 120-B. He told reporters that the decision is liable to be challenged in the Supreme Court of India.
Commenting on the decision Akali Dal Panch Pardhani leader Bhai Mandhir Singh told reports that the TADA court’s decision sentencing Bapu Assa Singh and others to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment signifies two facts: firstly that Sikhs are slaves in India, and secondly that atrocity has been committed by the Indian court in the name of justice.
“Such a harsh sentence for persons at the last stage of their life is in-fact an act of barbarity” he added.
“These Sikhs are sentenced not for any act or offence alleged to have been committed by them, but for holding the political ideology that signifies the quest of self-determination by Sikhs, during their lifetime” he told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
Commenting on the supposed purpose behind awarding such a harsh sentence, he said: “The motive is clear that the State want to terrorize the Sikh activists. It (the State) has sent a clear message that – either abandon the idea of freedom or be prepared to spend lives in jails”.

Dal Khalsa's Sikh Youth of Punjab to take proactive steps to tackle menace of drugs and apostasy in youth

Amritsar/Punjab (November 18, 2012): Terming the situation alarming, the ‘Sikh Youth of Punjab’ (SYP) has resolved to take proactive steps to tackle menace of drugs and apostasy in youth.
At a meeting of office bearers of SYP held here today, the organization was of the view that the basic problems facing the Sikh youth are growing apostasy, proliferation of deras, large-scale corruption in politics and drug menace. It felt that there was a need for concerted efforts to face these challenges. The meeting resolved to hold series of public meeting on these contentious problems to create awareness amongst youth.
Sikh Youth of Punjab leadership addressing media at Amritsar
SYP head Ranbir Singh said there was no denying the fact that Punjab youth suffers from high incidents of drug menace. The issue has recently again come into focus when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his visit to state made a comment on the situation saying 70 percent of state youth is drug addicts. He said this provoked Punjab CM and Deputy CM to blame the centre for failing to stop the smuggling of drugs from across the international border.
We would like to know as to who was responsible for 70 percent of the youth turning apostate here, he asked. “Taking a jibe at Badals, he said the Shiromani Akali Dal has been in command of the SGPC for years and year and the very first postulate of this party talk of propagating religion. Apostasy is not being smuggled from across the borders.”
SYP vice-president Paramjit Singh and general secretary Manjit Singh said something was deeply wrong somewhere vis-à-vis mushrooming of deras and weaning away of youth from mainstream Sikhism. Of course, most of these dears are patronized by the political leaders, including from the Akali Dal.
Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh exhorted youth to take up the responsibility of cleansing politics from its current maladies instead of confining themselves to demanding their rights or crying for grievances.
Addressing the meeting of its youth wing, he said politics influences all aspects of life and youth should be prepared to take up the challenge to cleanse the system.
He said focus of today’s youth should be to practice and pursue ideological politics.
