Canadian Hindu Advocacy Wants Kirpans & Turbans Banned

We are the Canadian Hindu Advocacy, a national organization and the largest representative of the Hindu community in Canada. We would like to congratulate you and your party on recent moves to restrict Sikh kirpans and Muslim niqabs.

Kirpans can be used as deadly weapons and there have been documented cases of Canadian Sikhs injuring others using kirpans.

Sikh turbans and Islamic attire like niqabs, hijabs, and burkhas have been used in certain cases of violence, robberies, and concealment by terrorists.

By contrast, Jewish and Hindu communities have achieved maximum success in North America by integrating into society in a harmonious fashion. There is no place in Canada for destructive cultural traditions being imported from overseas. Hindu and Jewish traditions, on the other hand, are conducive to democracy and should be encouraged.

We thank you and your party for recognizing these fundamental truths.

We are the Canadian Hindu Advocacy, a national organization and the largest representative of the Hindu community in Canada. We would like to congratulate and thank the Quebec National Assemby for excluding the World Sikh Organization of Canada from participation in the debate over Bill 94.

There are many compelling reasons to exclude this organization from public discourse, aside from the very legitimate kirpan issue. The World Sikh Organization is an organization which defends the right to advocate for a mythical Sikh state, to be named 'Khalistan'.

The 'Khalistan' movement, which WSO tries to equate with PQ goals for an independent nation, is very different from French Canadian aspirations. 'Khalistan' means 'Land of the Pure', and such a state could only be created by perpetrating genocide or ethnic cleansing against the almost 50 percent of India's Punjab state which are non Sikh minorities.

This movement was responsible for the rape and mass slaughter of thousands of civilians, and supporters were suspected of blowing up an Air India jet in Canada, killing over 330 Canadians.

Such a movement bears more similarity to the German Nazi movement in the 1940s than to any group advocating nationhood for Quebec. We thank the Quebec National Assembly, and recommend that the WSO be excluded in the future, regardless of whether or not turbans and kirpans are worn.

On the 1st issue of banning Kirpans & Dastaars - turbans,we would like to set the record straight to the fanatical Hindu Advocacy & we will not shy away from stating that they support Hindu Terror groups like the RSS,who want to implement the fascist Hindutva Ideology in India.

The Sikhs are one of the most hard working communities in the Western Hemisphere & have integrated in to all fields of work and society.The Sikhs have also won the right to wear the Kirpan and Dastaar/Turban freely & openly in the United Kingdom as well as Canada.They may be instances where issues occur regarding the Kirpan,but by LAW we as Sikhs can wear them & will refuse to remove them,as they are ARTICLES OF FAITH.

May we remind the Hindu Advocacy & in particular Rupesh Banarjee,we Sikhs did not remove our Kirpans & Turbans when Nazi Bullets were facing us.Nor did we remove our Kirpans when it came to defending Panjab & the Sikh Faith,the Sikhs chose death instead.

On the issue of religious freedom Rupesh Banarjee/Hindu Advocacy and in particular the Hindu Fanatics/Hindutvadis are an ungrateful group of people.

When it came to the religious freedom of the Hindu Pandits of Kashmir and Hindu Nation our 9th Guru Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Maharaj gave his life in Delhi to uphold the Human Rights & religious freedom of the Hindu People.It was due to the sacrifice of our 9th Guru that the Hindus were able to have their religious and personal freedom from the Mougul State.

This statement in Canada comes as no surprise to the Sikhs,as their forefathers have been doing the same betrayals ever since the times of the Gurus.Be it the Hindu Bhaman Pahari Kings who sided and egged on the Mouguls to attack our 10th Guru,to Chandu,Gangu who betrayed the house of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.

When Hindu girls were being kidnapped in their thousands and were taken to the Bazaars of Ghazni & Iraq it was the Sikhs who rescued them and bought them back home to their fathers.It was the Sikhs who established the Golden Age in Panjab with Khalsa Raaj be it Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur or Maharaja Ranjit Singh - whos empire fell due to the treachery of the Bhaman Dogras.When it came to free British India Sikhs gave over 90% of the sacrifices to free British India,in return we were classed as a 'Criminal Race' in 1947 by Hindu Fanatic Patel & Nehru.

The Fanatical Hindutva RSS lobby today tries to destroy the Sikh Faith in every way shape and form,and are active in a smear campaign against Sikhs ever since British India was given Independence in 1947.In 1984 the Hindu State declared War & Genocide on the Khalsa Panth and Sikhs the killing and rape of thousands of girls occurred.The destruction of Sri Akal Takht Sahib & 40 other Gurdwareh the burning of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharajs saroops ,Burning of Sikh infants,Men,Women and Gurdwareh across India scared every Sikh of Conscience in the World.

When the Freedom Movement was growing and India and the Hindu Fanatics/India could not suppress it.They decided to bomb their own Airline - Air India over the skies of Ireland.This was a clear attempt to make Western Nations crack down on the Sikhs and the freedom movement of Khalistan!Which is a legitimate movement for Self Determination under International Law.

The rise in Anti Sikh Cults in Panjab,to the killing of innocent Sikhs be it peacefully protesting or in fake encounters,continues in an effort to crush the Sikh Spirit.The propaganda campaign also continues with the odd news flash about Sikhs joining with Al Qaeda from Indian News to this latest - PATHETIC STATEMENT by the Hindu Advocacy Group,which the UK Sikh Community condemns in the most strongest manner.


Mr Banarjee tries to equate the Sikh Freedom Movement with Nazi Germany.This is strange as his fellow Hindu Fanatics in India as well as agents in foreign nations support Hindutva groups who take Hitler to be an inspiration and want to establish Hindutva - Hindi,Hindu,Hindustan based on the pure race ideology.Mr Banarjee needs to check he hasn't got his head mixed up with those members of his own Hindu Community who carry forward this hate ideology.He talks of Genocide?In Panjab?Genocide of who?Hindus?

When the Hindu Fauj/Army of India attacked Sri Harmandar Sahib and raped our women and shot our boys and men,did Sikhs carry out a genocide on Hindus? NO!

Yet when two Sikh Heroes Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh & Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh eliminated the genocidal daughter of a Pandit Indira Gandhi - Sikhs faced a genocide on such a sickening scale that our fellow Sikh Brothers were fed to dogs on the streets of Delhi.

Khalistan will be based on democracy and freedom just as in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's Raj.Equating Khalistan with Nazi Germany is a DIRECT ATTACK on the Sikh Ideology as well as that our Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji & the 10 Gurus - Who preached equality & freedom which the Sikhs always make sure they protect as our history shows be it for Hindus,Muslims,Christians,Dalits and others.

Mr Banarjee needs to look at what his fellow Hindutva supporting Hindus have done in India to Christians,Muslims,Sikhs,Kashmiris,Nagas,Manipuris,Dalits and others by destroying their places of worship and committing genocide on them in open day light.

Dal Khalsa International recently called for a ban on the RSS and Hindutva groups in India and we stand by our statement.Dal Khalsa UK exposed the RSS/Hindutva ideology to the UK Sikh Community in 2007 as well as other communities and members of the UK Parliament & House Of Lords and we will continue to do so.

This JOKE of a statement by the Hindu Advocacy will have no affect on the ideology of the Sikhs nor will it stop us from wearing our articles of faith as given to us by our Gurus.The laws of the land protect these sacred articles of faith in Canada.

The Hindutvadis have to understand that they cannot oppress the Sikhs in the Western World and nor can they stop our FREEDOM OF SPEECH and promotion of Sikh Human Rights and Khalistan.

This defamation attempt to try scare politicians and the common Canadian is a failed attempt by a Hateful Fanatical Fascist, Nazi, Hindutva supporting group and their members.We hope those with their heads screwed on in the Hindu Community of Canada will come out and condemn this statement which does nothing to better relations between Hindus & Sikhs rather it will cause more division and problems.
