ANOTHER
SITE FROM THE SIKH GENOCIDE IN 1984 IS DISCOVERED ... HAILY MANDI IN
HARYANA WHERE SIKHS WERE ETHNICALLY CLEANSED AND BURNED ALIVE
Pataudi, Haryana (July 31, 2012): After
releasing evidence related to newly discovered Sikh Genocide 1984 site
at Haily Mandi –Haryana, All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF)
expressed disappointment at the performance of the Garg Commission. In
November 1984, at Haily Mandi – Pataudi, more than 28 Sikhs were killed
in systematic, organized and well planned attack and many of the victims
were burnt alive by the death squads.
AISSF also presented a copy of the FIR
number 282-83 which was registered at Pataudi Police Station on November
12, 1984. The FIR identifies those who were involved in the killing of
Sikhs at Haily Mandi – Pataudi. Federation also presented a list of 24
individuals who witnessed the killing of Sikhs and identified the
attackers.
Showing great dissatisfaction at the
performance of the Garg Commission, Karnail Singh Peermohammad, AISSF
President questioned that “if a Sikh Rights group is able to unearth the
killing of Sikhs at Haily Mandi and can locate the evidence, how come
Garg Commission who is specifically investigating the 1984 killing of
Sikhs in Haryana is not able to uncover the killings in Haily Mandi”.
Federation President and its senior
leadership including Davinder Singh Sodhi, Jagroop Singh Cheema and
Balbir Singh stated that “justice has eluded the Sikh community for the
last twenty eight years and even though we are presenting evidence to
Garg Commission, there is no hope that Commission will ever be able to
prosecute those who organized genocidal attacks on Sikhs during November
1984”.
Federation also released the list of those killed at Haily Mandi and Pataudi, Haryana during November 1984.
