Dal Khalsa Sikh Youth Of Panjab Protest Against Oppresion Of Sikhs In Hindutva India

Dal Khalsa alongside Sikh Youth of Panjab held a protest organized to demonstrate against the article 25 b 2 that dubs Sikhs as Hindus, upcoming film titled 'Messenger of God' starring head of heretical cult Ram Rahim, Hindutva govt's indifferent attitude towards Sikh prisoners drawing attention to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Ji's campaign and rampant drug abuse. To create awareness amongst masses on these issues young activists marched on the streets carrying banners and placards. Waving black flags, they put up big hoardings and distributed pamphlets to passer-by to convey their message,in regards to the above.

Dal Khalsa & Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP) held a peaceful sit-in and march on Jan 1 at Amritsar to demonstrate against Article 25 b 2 of the Indian Constitution that dubs Sikhs as Hindus, government's failure to curb drug abuse, release of upcoming film of controversial head of heretical cult Ram Rahim, and the Hindutva government's indifferent and biased attitude towards Sikh political prisoners who have been kept under detention unjustly.
On the first day of new- year, the youth activists associated with SYP and supported by SYFB marched from Bhandari bridge upto Darbar Sahib with placards and banners to create awareness amongst masses and spread the message. An Ardas in memory of ex-Jathedar of Akal Takht Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaonke was performed at Darbar Sahib on his 21st martyrdom day. Jathedar Kaonke was abducted and subsequently eliminated by Jagroan police in a staged encounter in 1993.
The aim is to press the concerned authorities to release the detainees who had completed their jail term, to constitute judicial commission to probe political-smuggler-police nexus patronizing drug racket, ban the upcoming film of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and to correct the constitutional injustice by amending the article 25.
